Each service is tailored to your pet and their needs. Powder Paws offers in-home professional and educated pet sitting with careful attention towards any changes in bowels, mood, or behavior to guarantee the best experience for your pets while you are away.

Clients may mix and match visit lengths and times to best meet their schedules. Any drop-in visit may be booked as a walk instead if you prefer a walk for the full length of the visit.

DROP-IN VISITS

  • A quick visit, purr-fect for cats and small animals, to feed, provide fresh water, clean litter box/cage and surrounding area, administer medication if needed with remaining time for play and enrichment!

    We require a minimum of one visit per day for our cat and small animal clients.

  • Our standard visit fit for all animals includes feeding, fresh water, a potty break or short walk (up to 15 minutes), medication administration if needed, and the remaining time devoted to play, enrichment, snuggles, clean-up, or any special requests.

    We recommend 1-4 visits per day, depending on your travel plans and routine.

  • An extended visit designed for multi-pet households or pets who simply need a little extra time. Includes our high-standard pet care with room for extra care instructions and up to a 30-minute walk for dogs.

    If you are hoping for more evening attention for your pet, consider our 2 Hour Nightcap visit!

NIGHTTIME CARE

  • The ideal end to your pet’s day—an extended evening visit with time for dinner, a peaceful walk, bedtime snuggles, medication if needed, and a final potty break to ensure a restful night.

  • Enjoy complete peace of mind with a professional sleepover in your home. Your dedicated pet care provider will spend the night to ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and relaxed—followed by their familiar morning routine.

    Our overnight pricing reflects our commitment to ethical employment practices and fair compensation, in full compliance with Colorado labor laws, which requires employees to be compensated for all hours worked — even when they’re asleep.

holiday + travel Rates

  • Travel outside Steamboat Springs city limits is subject to an additional charge of $1.25/mile per visit, calculated from the nearest city boundary to your home.

    Please note, we do not currently offer services in Stagecoach, Oak Creek, beyond Milner or Clark, or over Rabbit Ears Pass.

  • To ensure exceptional care during high-demand times, a seasonal rate increase of 15%–25% will be applied to services booked on the following peak dates:

RANCH-SPECIFIC CARE

  • In addition to in-home pet services, Powder Paws proudly offers experienced care for horses and other ranch animals. Our knowledgeable team is equipped to care for horses, chickens, cows, goats, pigs, bunnies, and more—and we’re always open to learning the unique needs of less common animals, too.

    Our 30 Minute Visit offers a quick but thorough check-in for your large animals—includes feeding, fresh water, basic health checks, and any quick tasks like turnout or stall cleaning. Ideal for daily maintenance and ensuring your ranch animals are comfortable and cared for.

  • A comprehensive visit offering more in-depth care, including feeding, watering, turnout or bring-in, stall cleaning, and any special attention your animals require. Perfect for busy days when your animals need a little extra time and hands-on care.

  • Our most thorough ranch care option, designed for detailed maintenance and personalized attention. Includes feeding, watering, stall and pasture cleanup, turnout management, health monitoring, grooming, and any specific requests. Ideal for multi-animal households or days when your animals need extra care and enrichment.
