Daily trail adventures designed for safe socialization, structured play, and enriching exercise—led by experienced and attentive pack leaders.
Offered Monday through Saturday, mornings and afternoons.
✔️ Door-to-door pickup and drop-off at your home or workplace
✔️ 1–2+ hours of structured on- and off-leash hiking
✔️ Small groups (2–6 dogs) carefully matched by energy, play style, and temperament
✔️ Experienced handlers trained in canine body language and pack dynamics
✔️ Local and mountain trails in and around Steamboat Springs
✔️ All year round—rain, snow, and shine—we ensure all dogs are prepared for harsh temperature and weather conditions
Hiking Club Requirements
To ensure the safety and harmony of every group, the following are required:
Meet & Greet + Private Walk to assess personality, leash skills, and social readiness
Current Rabies and DHPP vaccinations
Bordetella vaccination within the last 6 months
Post-boarding wait period: Dogs must wait 14 days after boarding elsewhere before rejoining hikes, to help prevent the spread of kennel cough
Leash manners, social skills, and no history of aggression
Regular group participation is strongly encouraged to support group cohesion and relationship-building among dogs

Powder paws is happy to refer you to the best local dog trainers. We do not offer professional training, but we will happily reinforce your training efforts and basic leash manners through private dog walks!
EVERY DOG HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OR REJOIN THE PROGRAM WITH PROPER TRAINING AND SOCIALIZATION.
