GROUP hike program

your dog’s newest hobby

  • Safe and controlled socialization, exercise, adventure, and pack-learning.

  • Offered mornings and afternoons Monday through Saturday

  • Door-to-door pick-up and drop-off from your home or place of work and at least 1-2 hours of on/off leash walking time.

  • 2-6 dogs per group — hand-selected based off play styles and personality.

  • Experienced and engaging pack leaders.

  • Destinations include local and mountain trails in and around Steamboat Springs.

  • Advanced scheduling and invoicing through Time to Pet.

requirements

  • Meet & greet and private walk to assess personality.

  • Current Rabies and DHPP vaccinations.

  • Bordetella current within 6 months.

  • If you board your dog elsewhere, they may not participate in the hikes for 2 weeks from being boarded. This is to mitigate possible spreading of Bordetella.

  • Proper leash training, social skills, and zero history of aggression.

  • Regular walking schedules are strongly encouraged for dogs to create relationships within the groups.

Powder paws is happy to refer you to the best local dog trainers. We do not offer professional training, but we will happily reinforce your training efforts and basic leash manners through private dog walks!

EVERY DOG HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OR REJOIN THE PROGRAM WITH PROPER TRAINING AND SOCIALIZATION.
